25 Years of Collective Impact

We are celebrating an extraordinary milestone this year: 25 years of Teach For America in Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.

Over the past quarter century, we’ve had the honor of working alongside dedicated educators, inspiring alumni, and steadfast partners to build a coalition of individuals and organizations dedicated to advancing educational equity and expanding opportunities for thousands of students. Together, we have built a legacy of collective impact, and 2025 is our chance to celebrate all we’ve accomplished and look ahead to an even brighter future.

Guided by the theme Past, Present, Promise, our 25th-anniversary year will be a time to reflect on our journey, amplify the voices that define our work, and recommit to the promise of educational excellence for every child. Throughout the year, we’ll shine a spotlight on the incredible stories of our corps members, alumni, partners, and students who have contributed to the growth and success of Teach For America in this region. These stories embody the resilience, collaboration, and innovation that drive our mission and inspire us to show up every day.

Our yearlong celebration will include signature events such as a gala at Navy Pier in May and a weekend-long homecoming summit in the fall, but the heart of this anniversary will be the people who have made this impact possible—our corps members, alumni, supporters, and partners. Their contributions have helped us become a thriving network of change-makers shaping the future of education in our communities. We invite you to join us in commemorating this milestone by sharing your stories, reconnecting with our mission, and imagining what we can accomplish together in the years to come. Thank you for being an essential part of our journey. Here’s to 25 years of collective impact—and to the promise of what’s still to come.
