Indiana Content Exams

Indiana Content Exams are on a different timeline than Illinois content exams. In Indiana you must pass a content exam and a pedagogy exam.

All Corps Members will be required to pass a content exam by December 2025 and a pedagogy exam by the end of the 2 years in TFA in order to earn your Initial Practitioner’s License. For Corps Members who have below a 3.0 GPA or did not major in the secondary subject they’ll be teaching, UIndy is requiring you attempt your Praxis exam by July 2025. All Corps Members must pass by December 2025.

You can learn more about the Praxis exam you need to take in our Indianapolis Certification Overview. While it’s geared toward the Indy region, the state licensure laws still apply to you!
