Target Language Proficiency Exam (056)
Corps members assigned to teach Bilingual Education must take two exams- the content exam for the subject you’re assigned to teach and the Target Language Proficiency Spanish (056) exam. Your 056 exam is a computer-based test that you can take at a testing location located in Illinois. It includes 55 multiple-choice questions and 2 constructed-response assignments where you record a spoken response. Due to the spoken response portion of the exam your score report dates are often received later than a typical content exam. Corps Members who take this exam should be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish.
Logistics
This exam is computer-based (however you have to take it at a testing center in IL).
